Should I seal the RAW or the final JPEG?
Ideally both, because they tell complementary stories. The RAW shows you hold the origin of the shot, something an infringer is unlikely to possess. The final JPEG documents the exact version you delivered or published. Each file produces its own SHA-256 hash, so you will need one certificate per sealed file.
How do I show a client the photo is mine?
Share the public verification link along with the delivery: anyone can open it at /verify without signing up and check the hash, the seal date, and the declared identity. It is a professional way to document the handover. Keep in mind that final ownership of rights depends on what your contract says.
What if I edit the photo after sealing it?
Any change, however small, produces a file with a different hash, so the certificate remains valid only for the original sealed version. That is the expected behavior: each certificate pins one exact version. This is why you should seal final delivery versions and keep the original files untouched.
